He graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2005 with a first class degree in Physiotherapy, having previously completed a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. After graduation he worked in a number of large hospitals in London and surrounding counties, including the internationally recognized Stoke Mandeville. Richie was able to gain a wide range of experience in orthopedic and sports related injuries, and has since specialized into this area.
In addition to his physiotherapy degree, Richie has completed a certificate in Orthopedic Manipulative Physiotherapy from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. His post graduate studies include deep dry needling, clinical palates, manual therapy of spine/peripheral joint disorders, and spinal manipulations. Richie is due to receive his masters in Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapy in January 2014.
Richie has been involved in a variety of sporting events in both the UK and Dubai, including the London marathon, Dubai Rugby Sevens, Gaelic football and Davis Cup tennis. He is a keen sportsman and is aware of the importance of correct rehabilitation for optimal sporting performance. His personal enthusiasm for sport and leisure activities enables him to empathize with his patients when they can no longer perform to their desired standard.
